Repeat Order – 20ft Workshop / Storage Container

Breakdown of the Project

In 2016 Parsons Containers Ltd./ContainerContainer were approached by a petrochemical company in the North-East to provide 2 x 20ft containers converted into workshop / stores. The client sent through drawings to follow, to build the conversion to their specification. Fast forward to 2017 and the client was expanding and required another bespoke shipping container workshop / storage conversion for another location, with the client receiving great service they returned for their new conversion.

The conversion being a copy of the original 2 previous conversions, apart from some minor changes with the inclusion of heavy-duty hooks installed to the rear 8ft panel to be used to hang rigging equipment.

The shipping container that was used for the conversion was a 20ft new ‘one trip’ shipping container that had internal modifications to fit out the shipping container into a workshop / storage unit.

Conversion breakdown

The internal modifications for the 20ft workshop / storage shipping container conversion was;

• 5no. individual secure locker / shelving units for tool storage between shifts
• Large steel workbench with 6″ vice
• 3 tier steel shelving
• Heavy-duty hooks along the back wall for rigging equipment
• Shadow board along the container wall for tools when not in use.
• Storage cabinet between steel shelving and workbench
• We fabricated all the internal equipment to ensure we maximised the total space available inside the 20ft shipping containers.
• The shipping container was resprayed in light blue, to match the previous two conversions and the company colours.
