Breakdown of the Project
The customer approached us directly contacting us over email. They were requesting a container conversion for storage of ammunitions on site and a converted shipping container was an ideal solution. The customer sent us some drawings of the layout that they would like it to achieve in a 20ft container. It was split between 2 compartments, standard storage spanning 14ft and 6ft space for storage of the ammunitions.
We fitted a single personnel door on the right-hand 20ft corrugated panel fitted with a secure alarm system for this section as this stored the ammunition. All the internal of the container was ply lined over 50mm rockwool insulation, we added a partition wall between the 2 rooms. Both rooms had heavy-duty shelving fabricated from angled box section, with 18mm ply boarding bolted to the flooring (in the 16ft space shelving was installed spanning down the 16ft length and in the 6ft space we installed the shelving spanning across the 8ft width).
There was an electrical installation applied on the surface of the boarding with multiple double sockets in both rooms and 2no. strip lights to 1no. strip light across the two rooms. We painted the external of the container in RAL5015. The conversion was completed in 4 weeks from confirmation of order and delivered to site.
