Breakdown of the Project
We received an online enquiry for through our online website enquiry form. The customer enquired through our 20ft new ‘one trip’ shipping container product page, they also added at this stage that they were looking to convert the container. After our container conversion co-ordinator contacted the customer for further information to see the extent of the modifications, and after learning that they were looking to get a generator container we were able to provide previous projects.
The customer then provided us with detailed CAD drawings of the generator store and we were able to start the container conversion. The container was moved into our workshop, we removed the original cargo doors and refitted them in the left-hand corrugated panel. We then added a new 8ft corrugated panel in where the cargo doors were to close this end up and installed a cable entry point with lift up hatch for cable entry for the generator.
The container was fitted with 3no. 800mm x 800mm louver vents on both 20ft corrugated panels. We fitted a steel personnel door for the employee access, there was chequer plate flooring fitted throughout with raised edges. We supplied and fitted a 1500L diesel tank on request of the customer and resprayed the container in the colour the customer specified.
The conversion was completed and delivered to the customer in a lead time of 5 weeks from confirmation of order.
