20ft Bespoke high cube exhibition container conversion

Breakdown of the Project

One of the largest manufacturers of forklift trucks approached us looking for a new onsite meeting space and exhibition stand. Our container conversions team met with the client to discuss their requirements, for their project to fabricate a bespoke exhibition container that would make them stand out over competitors in their industry.  

During the design process we also had a previous container exhibition stand in our depot, we were able to showcase various options and a final design was quickly approved. The conversion process needed to fit the client’s strict deadline of 4 weeks so that they were able to reveal their exhibition container at the 2018 Great Yorkshire Show. 

We were able to add innovative modifications to increase functionality and safety which included foldable gallery railing for easy transportation, along with an electronic operated winch installed to safely lower the drop-down side panel to reveal the bifold opening access glass doors.  

The overall project was a great success with glowing feedback received from the client after a standout trade stand at the event.  

Conversion breakdown

• 20ft new ‘one trip’ high cube shipping container with a drop-down side wall on the right-side corrugated panel to form a decking area. The drop-down side can be lifted back into position when not in use. 
• Large 5 panel bi-fold opening doors along one side with black powder coated aluminium framework, that is covered from the drop down for overnight security and an electric awning that covers over the decking. 
• Secure 10-point locking mechanism steel personnel door was fitted. 
• Internally the unit was fully lined with 9mm MFC & insulated with 50mm Rockwool, fitted with laminate flooring and electrics to include stainless steel double sockets, spotlighting, TV mounts & heating. 
• Externally we fitted a removable staircase and foldable railings around the top of the unit complete with decking on the roof so the area can be used for additional seating area/ viewing platform. 
• Electric winch fitted internally to operate the safe lowering of the dropdown. 
• The unit was finished in clients specified RAL colour – RAL3001.
