Breakdown of the Project
Our client enquired through our online enquiry form and was looking to use shipping containers for a possible project they were weighing up. Our sales manager provided various options to start the process and after receiving additional information of what the customer was going to use the structure for, we suggested to purpose built a container. The unit was to be used as a small-scale onsite painting / photography studio however, they were unable to move their current equipment.
We produced 3D renders of a couple of variations that was along the customers’ requests and after further discussions and additional modifications to the visuals we agreed on the final design. The customer also had specific doors that they wanted to use and vents so we agreed to produce the fabrication work and for the customer to add the final details including the doors and vents.
The design and dimensions were passed to our fabrication team to fabricate the bespoke container. Using corrugated panels, the container was welded together using steel box section around each panel. As requested from the customer we cut apertures out at the required area and dressed with box section for the 2no. different size doors and vent. The container had ISO corner casts for lifting purposes as we did not install a floor as when the container was delivered to site, we lifted over the top of their current equipment.
The customer was extremely happy with the final product as they were wanting the container finish but bespoke and we were able to tick all their requirements. We were also able to manufactured in a short lead time of 2 weeks from confirmation of order due to the strict deadline for their existing structure to be removed.
