Breakdown of the Project
Our sister company U Hold The Key Self Storage opened its new site at Darlington A66 and were needing an office to allow their staff to work from. We have supplied flat pack shipping containers to some of their other sites and we did the same with this new site. They were wanting 1no. 20ft shipping container office, we arranged to deliver a flat pack office at the new site and the build process began.
We used a HIAB lorry to remove the roof and it reveals the wall panels, windows, corner posts and personnel door. The four corner posts will need to be bolted back into place, and using the HIAB lorry the roof is able to be lowered into place and bolted to the corner posts before the HIAB can unchain from the flat pack shipping container office.
What you will see is the frame work for the office container without any walls, using the insulation supplied fill all the cavities in the corner posts and the roof evenly. With the office being built from a flat pack shipping container it is a modular set, meaning if you needed to you can attach them together and create larger offices. Also, with it being modular it is not a set formula of how if must be put together, so the office can be set up in various configurations.
Once the external build process is complete, the interior work can begin. The office will have internal electrics that will be used for lighting, internal power supplies for using laptops and telephones, for use as a site office for the self-storage appointments.
